Hello It sounds like you’ve been through quite a journey with your spinal cord and bone fractures. Healing from such injuries can take time, and it’s great to hear that you’re feeling better now!

### Healing and Recovery Tips 1. Physical Therapy: If you haven’t already, consider working with a physical therapist. They can help you regain strength and mobility, especially after a spinal injury.

2. Gentle Exercises: Engage in gentle exercises or stretches that are safe for your condition. Activities like walking, swimming, or yoga can be beneficial, but always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.

3. Nutrition: Focus on a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D to support bone health. Foods like dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified cereals can be helpful.

4. Hydration: Stay well-hydrated, as it aids in overall recovery and helps maintain healthy tissues.

5. Monitor Symptoms: Keep an eye on any new symptoms or changes in your condition. If you experience pain, discomfort, or any unusual sensations, consult your healthcare provider.

6. Follow-Up Appointments: Make sure to attend any follow-up appointments with your doctor to monitor your recovery and address any concerns.

### Emotional Well-Being Recovering from an injury can also be emotionally challenging. Don’t hesitate to reach out to friends, family, or a mental health professional if you need support.

Thank you

Hello

Aapke description se lag raha hai ki spinal aur leg fracture ke baad toilet area (anal/private area) ke paas koi healed scar tissue, swelling, ya skin change reh gaya hai. Agar:

* dard nahi hai, * koi bleeding/discharge nahi hai, * aur size/appearance badal nahi raha,

toh ye purane injury, prolonged bed rest, pressure sore/scar tissue, ya healing ke baad ki fibrosis ho sakti hai.

Lekin kyunki aapko “some difficulty” ho rahi hai, ek physical examination zaroori ho sakta hai — especially agar:

* toilet karne mein dikkat, * tightness, * sitting discomfort, * numbness, * constipation, * ya control issues ho.

Kya kar sakte hain:

* Area ko clean aur dry rakhein. * Hard rubbing ya harsh soaps avoid karein. * Constipation avoid karein — pani, fiber, fruits zyada lein. * Long sitting avoid karein agar pressure feel hota hai. * Agar scar tight lagta hai toh doctor physiotherapy ya scar management advise kar sakte hain.

Aapko ek surgeon, orthopedician, ya general physician ko dikhana chahiye agar:

* swelling badhe, * redness/pain aaye, * discharge ho, * walking/toilet difficulty increase ho, * ya numbness/weakness ho.

Kabhi-kabhi spinal injury ke baad pelvic floor ya nerve-related issues bhi ho sakte hain, isliye proper evaluation helpful rahega.

Take care Feel free to talk

For healed tissue in the area you mention, particularly after such significant trauma like spinal and leg fractures, it’s crucial to ensure proper care to avoid any complications. If the healed tissue you’re referring to is around the perineal area, skin care is important to prevent breakdown or infection. One of the first steps is to maintain good hygiene; gently clean the area with mild, unscented soap and water. Pat it dry carefully, avoiding rubbing which could irritate the skin. If you notice any redness, swelling, or unusual discharge, it’s important to have it checked by a healthcare professional as it might signify infection or another issue. Moisturization can help if the skin is dry. Use a hypoallergenic moisturizer to keep the skin from cracking. Positions that alleviate pressure off the area can also help while sitting. If you’re having issues with continence due to your spinal injury, it’s prudent to wear breathable undergarments and change them regularly. Since you have a history of spinal and leg fractures, it’s important to follow up with your healthcare provider to monitor your recovery, and they might suggest physical or occupational therapy to aid mobility and strengthen muscles surrounding the affected area. Additionally, if you’ve been prescribed or advised specific exercises, incorporating them into your routine can aid in overall recovery. Follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations for follow-up care and notify them promptly if new symptoms emerge.

Aap jo “healed tissue” toilet area ke paas bata rahi hain, woh spinal aur leg fracture ke baad prolonged bed rest, pressure, injury, surgery scar, ya previous wound healing ki wajah se bana hua scar tissue / thick healed skin ho sakta hai.

Agar: - pain nahi hai, - redness/swelling nahi hai, - discharge/pus nahi aa raha, - aur gradually stable hai,

toh zyadatar cases me yeh dangerous nahi hota.

Lekin spinal injury ke baad kabhi-kabhi: - pressure sore/scar tissue, - skin thickening, - piles/fissure, - ya nerve-related sensation changes bhi ho sakte hain.

Aapko kya karna chahiye: - Area ko clean aur dry rakhein - Excess pressure aur prolonged sitting avoid karein - Soft cushion use karein agar sitting discomfort ho - Constipation avoid karein - Agar skin hard/scar jaisi hai toh moisturizer helpful ho sakta hai

Doctor ko dikhaiye agar: - wound khulne lage, - bleeding/discharge ho, - severe constipation/incontinence ho, - numbness ho, - ya sitting/walking me increasing difficulty ho.

Agar possible ho toh surgeon/orthopedic doctor ya general surgeon physical examination karke better bata sakte hain ki yeh scar tissue hai, pressure sore ka healed area hai, ya koi anorectal issue.

Final Advice: 1. Maintain local hygiene and dryness 2. Avoid prolonged pressure on the area 3. Use soft cushion/support while sitting 4. Prevent constipation with fluids/fiber 5. Surgical/physical examination if the tissue causes persistent difficulty or changes in appearance

Advice: Aapke description se yeh healed scar/pressure-related tissue lag raha hai, especially previous spinal injury aur prolonged immobility ke context me.

Feel free to reach out again.

Regards, Dr. Nirav Jain MBBS, D.Fam.Medicine

(Gentle stretching & massage)

Agar fracture ko 6 months se zyada ho gaya hai aur healed tissue me pain nahi hai, to zyada chances hain ki healing stable hai. Thodi difficulty rehna spinal fracture aur leg fracture ke baad common ho sakta hai because muscles aur nerves ko recover hone me time lagta hai. Aap ek orthopedic doctor ya physiotherapy specialist se consult kijiye, kyunki proper exercises aur rehabilitation se movement aur function aur improve ho sakta hai.
