Digestion issues persisting for so long definitely require a comprehensive approach, especially given your low weight and associated symptoms like fatigue and leg pain. Starting with dietary modifications, keep a food-diarrgy and see if certain foods trigger your symptoms. Focus on a balanced diet rich in fibers like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, but experiment with fiber intake slowly - too much fiber might worsen bloating in some people. Consider possible food intolerances or sensitivities; for example, lactose or gluten can cause significant issues for some individuals. Testing for these foods could be beneficial. Common conditions such as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) might also be part of your presentation, and specific dietary plans like the low FODMAP diet under a dietitian’s guide can sometimes help with symptom management. Since you’ve mentioned weight problems and associated symptoms, investigating underlying issues like hyperthyroidism or celiac disease could be useful. You should discuss comprehensive testing with your healthcare provider to rule out these possibilities. Keeping hydrated and regular light-to-moderate exercise might aid bowel motility and benefit overall wellbeing. Consider supplements like probiotics which could aid in restoring gut flora imbalance, but do consult a healthcare professional before starting any. Finally, psychological factors like stress can affect digestion; approaches such as mindfulness or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) might offer some relief if stress is a contributor. Seek thorough evaluation, if these individualized strategies don’t yield satisfactory results and persistent weight issues need addressing to prevent further complications.
