What to do if my period is 10 days early and lasts longer after taking an emergency contraceptive pill? - #30357
“Hello doctor. I am having a concern regarding my periods. I took an emergency contraceptive pill recently, and after that my periods came around 10–11 days earlier than expected. It has now been 10 days and the bleeding is still continuing. Sometimes the flow becomes heavy with clots, similar to normal first or second day periods. I am also having cramps, headache and weakness at times. This has never happened to me before, so I am worried. Could this be due to the pill, and what should I do?
