Doctors’ responses
A hole in the baby’s heart may close on its own if small. If it is big, treatment is usually successful after birth. Continue close follow-up with specialists – do not panic, but do not miss follow-ups.
Thank you.
Baby ke dil mein chhed (congenital heart defect) paaya jaane par outcome uske size, jagah aur type par depend karta hai. Kuch chhed (jaise small ventricular septal defect) bachpan mein apne-aap band ho jaate hain, lekin kuch ko birth ke baad surgery ya specialist care ki zarurat hoti hai. Aapko turant fetal cardiologist / pediatric cardiologist se consult karke detailed fetal echocardiography karwana chahiye taaki exact situation aur future treatment samajh sake.
Hello Aman, The hole in the baby’s heart can close or remain open after birth. Exact prognosis can be explained by FETAL MEDICINE specialist.
You can share the USG report or ECHO report for better evaluation. Take care
Hello dear See as per history it seems either atrial septal defect or ventral septal defect It has to be diagnosed properly and accordingly treated Iam suggesting some tests for confirmation Echo or ecg Echocardiogram Angiogram Mri if recommended by cardiologist Kindly share the results with cardiologist in person for better clarification Hopefully following procedures could be done Medications Surgery Cardiac catheterization Kindly follow the advice of the concerned doctor only Hopefully it will be filled soon Regards
Hello Aman,
Aapki 6 month pregnancy me baby ke heart me “ched” bola gaya hai.
Agar chhota ched hai to zyada tension lene ki zarurat nahi, kai baar birth ke baad 1–2 saal me apne aap band ho jata hai.
Agar bada ched hai to bachche ka janm hone ke baad doctor check karke medicine ya chhoti surgery se treat kar dete hain.
Abhi ke liye aapko regular checkup + fetal echo karte rehna chahiye. Delivery aise hospital me plan kare jaha NICU aur bacche ke heart specialist (pediatric cardiologist) available ho.
Dawai ya home remedy se pregnancy me ched band nahi hota, par treatment possible hai aur future me bachcha healthy reh sakta hai.
Jab bhi aap chahein, mujhse connect kar sakte hai.
Dhanyawaad,
Dr. Nirav Jain MBBS, DNB D.Fam.Med.
Hi Aman,
Bohot saare bacchon me ye problem chhoti hoti hai aur apne aap theek ho jaati hai. Agar surgery ki bhi zarurat ho, to aajkal ke time me safe aur successful surgeries available hain, aur bacche bilkul normal zindagi jee sakte hain.
🛑Aap abhi tension mat lijiye, par specialist doctor se regular follow-up zaroor kariye
In many babies, the hole is small and closes naturally. Even if surgery is needed, nowadays it is safe and successful, and most children go on to live normal healthy lives.
🛑So don’t panic, but do make sure you have regular specialist check-ups.
Thank you Aman
Hi Dear Aman, Hole in heart of your baby am so sorry for it But it can be ASD or VSD if symptoms of bluish discolouration or feeding problems are not there nothing to worry Kindly visit a cardiologist followed by a cardiothoracic surgeon for the same some needs surgery and some can be watched and observed take care dont panic
The presence of a hole in the baby’s heart during pregnancy, known as a congenital heart defect, is fairly common and can vary significantly in terms of severity and outcomes. Some types of holes, such as ventricular septal defects (VSD) or atrial septal defects (ASD), might close on their own as the child grows and often do not cause significant problems. However, it depends a lot on the size, location, and exact nature of the defect. In some cases, medical intervention might be necessary after birth to ensure proper heart function. The best course of action would be to follow up with a pediatric cardiologist who can assess the situation more accurately using specific diagnostic tools such as fetal echocardiograms. This specialist will provide detailed information regarding the necessary steps to monitor the baby’s heart before and after birth. Most importantly, try to coordinate closely with your obstetrician and pediatric cardiologist, who will develop a plan tailored to your baby’s specific needs. Also, maintaining regular appointments and following the healthcare provider’s advice is crucial for ongoing assessment and any interventions that may be necessary. While many factors influence the potential for self-resolution or the need for treatment, your medical team can guide you in understanding the condition’s path and managing it appropriately after birth.
