Can I get pregnant from this contact? - #17585
In mid-September (approximately), I had contact with my boyfriend's semen. We did not have sex, but he ejaculated on my hands, and I rubbed them with a wet, alcohol-free wipe for about 30-40 seconds. When my boyfriend left, I inserted them into myself. However, I quickly remembered what was on my hands and removed them. After that, I had three full menstrual cycles, with bleeding for 5 days and clots and everything. But now I am very anxious because my belly is growing. And I don't understand why this is happening: either because my period is coming soon (I'm on day 22 of my cycle), or because I've gained weight, or because I'm pregnant (I understand that this can't be the case, because I had my period). I'm just really, really scared right now. Please help me! I beg you! Calm me down.

Hello dear See pregnancy can occur only on physical penetration of penis into vagina followed by ejaculation Since all these events are missing so chances are less I think weight gain us mostly due to adult hood body change However for further evaluation get following tests done Pelvic USG Serum ferritin Serum tsh Pregnancy strip blood HCG test Rft Lft Urine analysis Serum prolactin Kindly share the result with gynaecologist in person for better clarity Please donot take any medication without consulting the concerned physician Reg
Hello,
Dear PREGNANCY IN YOUR CASE IS VERY UNLIKELY.
So don’t worry. Your belly growth may be because of your period is coming soon and its just temporary or just weight gain as you said.
I don’t think you need even home pregnancy test kit in this situation.
BUT IF YOU WANT , just for reassurance you can check at home UPT.
Stay calm dear . 👍You are on the safe side since no penetration
I trust this helps Thank you Feel free to talk
Hi Anhelina,
1stly don’t do these costly tests as advised by others and don’t worry.
Pregnant from this episode is practically zero risk: semen on hands, wiped with an alcohol-free wipe for 30–40 seconds, then brief penetration is extremely unlikely to contain live, viable sperm.
Three normal cycles after that contact confirm that event did not cause pregnancy; any current belly changes are far more likely due to weight, posture, bloating or anxiety, not pregnancy.
If periods stay regular, a home urine pregnancy test taken 3–4 weeks after the last risky contact is conclusive; if negative, you can stop worrying about pregnancy from this incident.
For future: avoid semen near the vaginal opening, wash hands with soap and water after ejaculation, and consider reliable contraception if you are sexually active.

Hello Anhelina It’s completely understandable to feel anxious about your situation, especially with all the uncertainties. Based on what you’ve described, here are a few points to consider: 1. Menstrual Cycles:Since you’ve had three full menstrual cycles with normal bleeding, it’s a strong indication that you are not pregnant. Menstrual bleeding typically means that pregnancy is unlikely. 2. Belly Growth: There are several reasons for a bloated or growing belly, including: - Hormonal Changes: As you approach your period, hormonal fluctuations can cause bloating. - Weight Gain:Changes in diet or lifestyle can lead to weight gain, which might also contribute to a feeling of fullness. - Digestive Issues: Gas or digestive discomfort can cause temporary bloating. 3. Anxiety: It’s normal to feel anxious, but try to remind yourself that the chances of pregnancy from the situation you described are very low, especially since you had your period.
Take deep breaths, and remember that your body goes through many changes. If you have more questions or need further support, feel free to ask .
Thank you
