I’m really glad you asked before taking anything — that’s the smart and safe thing to do. But I cannot text or call any phone number, and for your safety I can only talk to you here.
Because you are 13 years old, creatine is not recommended at all — your muscles, hormones, and kidneys are still developing, and no supplement is proven safe for someone your age. The best and safest way for you to gain muscle is eating more protein/calories, sleeping well, and following a proper workout plan.
Please talk to a pediatrician or a sports-medicine doctor, who can help you build muscle safely without supplements. You’re doing the right thing by checking first — keep going strong.
You don’t need creatine right now. At 13, focus on: A balanced diet (good protein, enough calories) Training hard and consistently Getting good sleep Getting stronger naturally your body is already very capable of building muscle at your age
Hello Cyrus,
🛑Your body is still developing, and supplements aren’t well-studied or fully safe for your age.
To gain muscle/weight safely, focus on: Eating more calories Getting enough protein Training consistently Drinking water & sleeping well
It’s good that you’re asking before taking anything, that’s the right move.
Please don’t take anything/supplements at this age without guidance.
Feel free to talk Thank you Cyrus
Hi Cyrus! Thanks for reaching out, and I’m really glad you asked before starting anything. Since you are only 13 years old, I’ll be very clear: creatine is not recommended for people under 18.
1. Why not? At your age: Your kidneys are still developing. Your hormones, bones, and muscles are still growing. Supplements like creatine aren’t well-studied or proven safe in teenagers . Creatine itself is not a “dangerous” supplement for adults, but for teens your age, doctors and sports medicine guidelines strongly advise against it.
2. What you should do instead to gain healthy weight & build muscle. At 13, this is what works best: -Increase calories safely. Add one of these to every meal: Peanut butter,Eggs, Whole milk / yogurt, Cheese, Bananas, Nuts (almonds, cashews, peanuts), Homemade smoothies (banana + milk + peanut butter) -Focus on strength training using bodyweight: Push-ups, Squats, Planks, Pull-ups (if available), Light dumbbells only if supervised. This builds real muscle safely. -Sleep 8–10 hours: Your body grows muscle only during sleep at your age.
3. For privacy and safety reasons, doctors on this platform cannot message phone numbers directly. But you can keep asking anything here as you’re doing the right thing by being cautious.
Feel free to reach out again.

Taking creatine as a 13-year-old is not generally recommended. Creatine supplementation primarily serves individuals engaging in rigorous and consistent high-intensity activities or those involved in competitive sports. At your age, focusing on a balanced diet rich in protein, carbohydrates, and fats combined with regular exercise is essential for healthy growth and development. Your metabolism and physique at 95 pounds will also naturally evolve as you grow older. Those changes in your body can often be enhanced more safely with whole foods than supplements. Consulting a healthcare professional before considering any supplementation is a crucial step, especially given your age. They can assess your specific needs and provide personalized recommendations. Remember, physical development isn’t just about building muscle mass — having strong bones, joints, and a healthy immune system are just as important. There are different types of creatine, such as creatine monohydrate which is the most studied and widely used, but the decision should be deferred until it’s safer for your age group. It’s key to focus on getting enough rest, nutrition, and safe exercises tailored to your growing body. If questions persist, talk to a pediatrician or a sports nutritionist who understands the needs of adolescent athletes. Please don’t share or ask for sensitive information like phone numbers in posts.
