can diabetic drink sugarcane juice - #24371
I am really confused about something and hope someone can help me out a bit! I have a friend, right, who is diabetic and loves sugarcane juice. Like, he used to drink it all the time before he was diagnosed, and now he's thinking about trying it again. He keeps asking me, can diabetic drink sugarcane juice without messing up his blood sugar levels? I mean, if it’s natural and all that, isn’t it okay? But then again, I've read loads of mixed stuff online. Some say it’s fine in moderation while others are like “no way!” Since it’s pretty sweet, I can’t help but wonder. He’s been trying to manage his condition with diet and exercise, but the other day I saw him really eyeing this fresh sugarcane juice at a stall, but I couldn’t tell if he should go for it or steer clear. He gets super frustrated reading conflicting advice, and I get that—like, how do you decide what’s safe? Please, anyone know if can diabetic drink sugarcane juice or is it a complete no-go? Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you know any diabetics who have tried it!
