blood purifying fruits - #27430

Rashi

I am super concerned about my health right now. A few weeks ago, I started feeling really sluggish all the time, and then I began experiencing some weird skin issues like rashes that wouldn’t go away. My doctor recommended some blood tests, and they showed some odd results — not terrible, but not great either. I’ve been doing a ton of research and came across this idea about blood purifying fruits, and it got me thinking. Like, what does that even mean? Are there specific fruits that are considered blood purifying fruits? I’m trying to eat healthier, and I wonder if including these types of fruits could actually help me feel better? I read somewhere that things like cranberries and pomegranates are good for this kind of stuff, but how much should I really be eating for it to make a difference? I’m honestly feeling a bit lost and just wanna know, should I focus on these blood purifying fruits or do something else? Also, how long does it take to see any changes if they actually work? I know fruits are healthy and all but like, is there any real science behind this blood purifying fruits idea? Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch!

Doctors' responses

The concept of “blood purifying fruits” is not one that’s widely supported by scientific evidence, particularly in mainstream medicine, but focusing on a balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits can lead to better overall health. Fruits like cranberries and pomegranates are often highlighted because they contain antioxidants, vitamins, and other nutrients that support your body’s normal detoxification processes. The liver and kidneys naturally act as your body’s primary detox systems, and a healthy diet can support these organs in functioning effectively. Eating a diverse range of fruits and vegetables is an excellent way to provide your body with the necessary nutrients. When it comes to how much, it’s more about having consistent intake rather than specific quantities. Aim for at least five portions of fruits and vegetables daily, adhering to general dietary guidelines. Improving your diet can have benefits on your energy levels and skin, but it’s also essential to address any underlying issues that might be causing those symptoms. Skin issues like persistent rashes and fatigue could be linked to a variety of health concerns, ranging from allergies to autoimmune conditions or nutritional deficiencies. While enhancing your diet by including more fruits could be part of the solution, it’s not a stand-alone fix. If you haven’t already, discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider to explore all potential causes and determine the right approach tailored to your specific situation. Lifestyle modifications like diet can support health improvements but need to be part of a comprehensive treatment plan, especially if there are concerns highlighted in your blood tests. Keep up with regular check-ups to monitor any changes and consider collaborating with a nutritionist or dietitian for personalized advice if you’re seeking detailed dietary guidance.
