I am really worried because my cousin just came back from a trip overseas and told me he had typhoid while he was there. When he got home, he started feeling sick, with like a high fever and a really bad stomach ache. They did test, and the doctor confirmed it was typhoid. We were all kinda hanging out and sharing food and drinks at a family gathering right after he got back, and I can't stop thinking... is typhoid communicable? I mean, could I have caught it from him? There were kids around too and they were getting close to him and all. I read a little about it online but some places say it's really contagious, and then other sources say it mostly spreads through contaminated food or water.
