is figaro olive oil good for hair - #23896

Dhruv

I am really curious about this Figaro olive oil thing for hair. I’ve been struggling with some serious frizz and dryness ever since I moved to a new city with this crazy humid weather. My friend mentioned that she’s been using Figaro olive oil and her hair looks amazing. I tried a couple of other oils before, but I don't feel like they did much, honestly. So, is Figaro olive oil good for hair? Like, does it actually help to moisturize or make it shinier? I read somewhere that olive oil is supposed to be great for nourishment but is it truely that effective? And isn't Figaro like a brand you can trust? Also, if I use it, do I need to apply it in a special way? I don't want to end up greasing my hair too much. I mean, ugh, last time I tried putting oil in my hair, I ended up shampooing three times just to get it back to normal! Is Figaro olive oil good for hair if I have colored hair too, or can it affect the dye? Any thoughts or tips would be super helpful! Thanks!

Figaro olive oil can be a suitable option for moisturizing and nourishing your hair, especially if you’re dealing with frizz and dryness due to humidity. Olive oil, in general, is known for its ability to penetrate the hair shaft, providing moisture and improving the overall texture and shine of hair. Figaro, as a brand, is recognized for producing quality olive oil, so it should serve well in this regard. If you’re concerned about application, there are a few techniques to keep in mind to avoid over-greasing your hair. Start with a small amount — maybe a teaspoon or two, depending on your hair length — and apply it evenly throughout your hair. You can either apply it to dry hair or slightly damp hair after a wash. Leave it on for a minimum of 15-30 minutes to allow it to absorb, then rinse thoroughly with a mild shampoo to ensure removal of the excess oil. Regarding colored hair, olive oil is generally safe and won’t strip the dye. However, excessive use might subtly alter the vibrancy over time. Occasionally using it should be fine, but it’s advisable to monitor how your hair color responds. Consider testing it on a small section first if you’re concerned. To maintain a balance, you might want to incorporate a hair mask or leave-in conditioner specifically for colored hair as a complement to the olive oil treatment. This way, you can achieve hydration without compromising your hair color. Avoid daily use; stick to once or twice a week, based on how your hair reacts to avoid buildup or weighing it down.
