best time to eat curd for weight gain - #27512
I am really confused about the best time to eat curd for weight gain. I've been trying to bulk up for a few months now and read that eating curd can help with gaining weight, but like, when should I be eating it? I usually have breakfast kinda early and sometimes I throw in a cup of curd with my cereal but I read somewhere that the best time to eat curd for weight gain might be before bed. I don’t know if that's right though. Also, I've tried incorporating it into lunch too, like with my rice or as a dip, but what do you guys think? Does timing really matter? I mean, should I be having it more at night or is it fine in the morning? Also, will eating curd too late affect my sleep or digestion since I worry about that stuff. Some friends told me to try having it after a workout because it has protein in it, but like, I don't wanna mess things up. Been feeling super lost about this, and any insight on the best time to eat curd for weight gain would be super helpful! Thanks!

Doctors' responses
When it comes to incorporating curd for weight gain, timing can matter, but maybe not as much as you might think. Curd, being a good source of protein and healthy fats, can certainly help with gaining weight if it’s part of an overall caloric surplus in a balanced diet. Whether you’re adding curd to your morning cereal or to your lunch with rice, the key here is consistency and maintaining an overall increased intake of calories. Adding curd to meals you’re already having tends to be an efficient way to up your caloric intake without having to change your eating schedule drastically.
Regarding eating curd before bed, that’s generally okay as long as it doesn’t disturb your digestion or sleep. Some people might find dairy products at night can cause discomfort or distension, so monitor how your body responds to this, as digestion responses can be individual. If it doesn’t cause any trouble and helps you meet your caloric goals, it can be a practical option. Eating curd after a workout is also beneficial due to its protein content, which can aid muscle repair. Ultimately, the “best” time to eat curd largely depends on your personal digestion and lifestyle preferences. Prioritize fitting it into your meals in a way that helps you consistently increase your calorie consumption to support weight gain. A varied diet ensures you’re getting different nutrients alongside the benefits curd offers. If aiming for a substantial weight gain, be consistent with your dietary changes and track how your body reacts to provide necessary adjustments.
