What causes prolonged light bleeding in a 17-year-old girl after a regular period? - #30558
I am 17 years old. My current period started on May 30 and I am still having light bleeding. The amount of blood is very small, and sometimes it appears slimy or mucus-like. I do not have abdominal pain or any other symptoms. Last year, I did not get my periods for about 3–4 months. After that, I had prolonged bleeding that lasted around 30–40 days. I consulted a doctor at that time, but no specific problem was found. The bleeding eventually stopped after taking the prescribed medication. I masturbate occasionally, but I have never had sexual intercourse or any sexual activity that could result in pregnancy. Could you please advise what might be causing this and whether I need any treatment, medication, or safe home remedies?
