Bleeding after HPV wart removal surgery can be concerning, but it’s not uncommon due to the nature of the procedure. First, it’s important to assess the amount and type of bleeding. If it’s light spotting or mild bleeding, it could be part of the healing process. However, if you are experiencing heavy bleeding, this could be a sign that requires more immediate attention. Check if the bleeding is accompanied by other symptoms such as severe pain, fever, or pus, which could indicate an infection or other complication. In that case, you should contact your healthcare provider promptly or go to the emergency room if it’s severe. It’s also important to follow post-operative care instructions closely, which typically involve keeping the area clean, avoiding irritating substances, and adhering to pain management and bleeding control advice. Abstain from sexual intercourse until cleared by your doctor, as engaging in it could exacerbate bleeding or hinder healing. About how you contracted HPV even if your partner shows no signs: HPV can be transmitted even when an infected person has no visible symptoms or signs. Your doctor may not effectively communicated this, but many people with the virus remain asymptomatic while still being able to pass it on. Encourage your partner to get tested or have a discussion with a healthcare professional for reassurance. Also, the HPV virus can remain dormant for years before producing symptoms, making it challenging to determine exactly when or from whom it was contracted. These factors can contribute to confusion, especially in monogamous relationships. To ensure your wound is healing properly and for peace of mind, it may be helpful to request a follow-up appointment with your doctor. Bring any remaining concerns to that visit and ask for a clear explanation of your treatment plan and any signs to look out for in the recovery period. Your current worry and confusion are understandable but staying informed and in close communication with your healthcare provider is the best way to ensure a full recovery.
