Hello dear See you are quite young. At this age phimosis will subsequently subside within 3-4 years maximum. However for improvement iam suggesting some medication and precautions Please follow them for atleast a month Clobetasol 0.5 percent topical application twice a day for 2 weeks Mild genital excercise not forcefully. Application of lukewarm water for improvement In case of no improvement consult gynaecologist or sexologist in person for better clarity. Last resort is circumcision or preputiplasty Hopefully you recover soon Regards

A tight foreskin, medically known as phimosis, can indeed be a cause of concern during erections if it leads to discomfort or pain. It’s good that you’re considering ways to address this issue. Stretching exercises can help, but they typically require consistent practice over a longer period—sometimes several weeks to months—rather than just one week. When performing these exercises, gently pull back the foreskin to just before the point of pain and hold for a few minutes, repeating a few times daily. Applying a little warm olive or mineral oil before stretching may help make the process more comfortable.

In many cases, topical steroid creams like betamethasone, prescribed by a doctor, are used to facilitate the stretching process as they can help soften the foreskin and reduce inflammation. It’s important to follow any such treatment exactly as prescribed. Also, maintain good hygiene while doing these exercises. However, if the foreskin remains tight, or if it tends to get stuck behind the glans (a condition called paraphimosis), it’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider. In some situations, a healthcare professional might suggest a minor surgical procedure such as a preputioplasty or circumcision. These options address more chronic or severe cases and are generally effective.

Phimosis, if left untreated and symptomatic, can cause issues like painful erections, tearing, or hygiene challenges that might lead to infections. If you notice redness, swelling, cuts, or any infection signs, it’s time to see a healthcare provider promptly. While home management is suitable initially, ensure you do not delay if the issue persists or worsens. Taking action early can prevent complications and ensure safe management in alignment with current clinical care standards.
