I am seeing some changes in my body lately and it’s making me think. I’ve been going to yoga classes regularly for about 3 months now. Before that, I was just kind of lazy, not exercising at all, and eating junk food like every day. Now, with the yoga, I feel more flexible and energized, but the scale doesn't seem to budge much. I keep hearing people saying "can we lose weight by yoga," but I’m not sure if it's really possible? I mean, I’ve read some articles saying yoga can help, especially with that mindfulness thing and maybe it makes you make better food choices? But my friend swears jogging and lifting weights are way better for losing weight. I even asked my yoga instructor if can we lose weight by yoga, and she said it definitely can help, but I want to understand more! Like, are there specific types of yoga that work better for weight loss? And what if I’m just not doing it right? How long does it usually take to see results? Seriously, should I throw in some cardio or is that too much? I'm kinda confused and just want to know if I’m on the right path with this yoga stuff or if I need to switch it up to actually lose weight!
