I started adding jaggery to my smoothies instead of sugar, mainly because I heard it's better for you. Last week, I made a smoothie with banana, some almond milk, and a bit of jaggery, but I'm not sure if I’m getting enough protein this way. I read somewhere that jaggery has some protein, but how much protein in jaggery is actually significant for my diet? I tried looking online, and there seems to be different answers. Sometimes I wonder if I should focus more on traditional protein sources instead. I mean, do I need to add protein powder to my smoothie if the amount of protein in jaggery is too low? I've heard it has minerals too and thought that was great, but I can't shake the feeling that relying too much on jaggery might not be the best idea.
