do sugarcane juice increase weight - #24697

Diya

I am really confused about something and hope you guys can help. I started drinking sugarcane juice a few weeks ago because my friend said it’s healthy, and I thought it would be a nice alternative to soda. But now I'm kinda worried 'cause I feel a little heavier and I’m wondering if do sugarcane juice increase weight? Like, does it have a lot of calories or sugars in it?? A couple of days ago, I weighed myself and the scale showed I gained 3 pounds. I know weight can fluctuate, but I can’t shake this feeling that it might be the juice. At the same time, I really like it, and I thought it would be better than those sugary sodas. I’ve tried to stick to moderate amounts, but sometimes I drink a lot when I’m thirsty while working out. I guess my diet hasn't been perfect either, but I just love how refreshing it is. I’d like to keep drinking it but need to figure out if I'm just imagining things or if do sugarcane juice increase weight for real? Can anyone give me some insight on this? Should I be really worried, or is it just a natural part of the weight gain process? Thanks!

Sugarcane juice does indeed contain a notable amount of natural sugars and can contribute to weight gain if consumed excessively. A typical serving of sugarcane juice is packed with calories due to its high sugar content, which means if you’re indulging frequently and in large quantities, it could certainly influence your weight, especially if your calorie intake exceeds what you’re burning off. While it’s a bit healthier than sodas due to some minerals and antioxidants it contains, the caloric density is something to watch out for. If you’ve gained about 3 pounds recently, it could be due to several factors, including fluid retention, dietary changes, or a lag in your activity levels. Remember, hydration from pure water around workouts is more beneficial since it’s low in calories. If you love sugarcane juice, consider having it less often or diluting it with water to manage the sugar and calorie intake better, making it less impactful on your weight. It’s also important to regularly check your total daily diet, ensuring it’s balanced, nutritious, and aligned with your energy expenditure. If you find the weight gain persists, it might be helpful to explore other sources, limiting not just sugars but observing your overall calorie consumption. But if you’re merely drinking sugarcane juice occasionally as part of an otherwise balanced diet, it may not be the sole factor. Just make mindful choices about when and how much you consume, and remove unnecessary calories elsewhere. If you’re concerned about ongoing or unexplained weight changes, consulting with a healthcare professional to explore underlying causes would always be wise.
