I am struggling with my weight and keep hearing mixed things about weight loss. I mean, I love yoga and go to classes a few times a week, but I don’t really know if it helps with losing weight. Can I lose weight with yoga? I really enjoy it for the relaxation and flexibility, but I also want to get fit and maybe drop a few pounds. A friend mentioned that some styles of yoga are more intense and can actually burn calories, is that true? I started doing Vinyasa, which feels like a workout sometimes, but can I lose weight with yoga if I'm not sweating buckets at every class? I tried some home videos too but they don’t seem to push me that hard, and it makes me wonder if I’m wasting my time. What are some realistic expectations?
