how to take ashwagandha and shilajit together - #25056

Vihaan

I am feeling kinda lost about taking ashwagandha and shilajit together. I've been hearing about these two for a while now, especially since I’ve been super stressed with work and life stuff. A friend mentioned how they’re such a great combo for energy and mood, and honestly I’m at the point where I’d try anything! My doctor suggested ashwagandha for anxiety after I described these constant ups and downs, but I also read that shilajit could really help with fatigue. Problem is, I can’t find clear info on how to take ashwagandha and shilajit together! Like, do I take them at the same time? Should I space them out? I read that shilajit might help with absorption but not sure how that works exactly. Also, when should I take them? I’ve seen people say morning and night, but does that change anything? Oh, and dosage?! I took some shilajit last week and felt a bit nauseous — is it just me or could it be too much? I really wanna make this work, but I’m a bit confused by all the info out there. How to take ashwagandha and shilajit together without messing it all up?

Taking ashwagandha and shilajit together can be a beneficial approach, especially given your interest in managing stress, anxiety, and fatigue. When considering timing and dosage, it’s important to weigh both your goals and how your body reacts to each supplement. Typically, ashwagandha can be taken once or twice a day. If your main goal is to combat stress and anxiety, taking it in the morning can set a balanced tone for the day, while an evening dose can help with sleep. A common starting dose for ashwagandha is around 300-500 mg per day. For shilajit, since you’ve had some nausea, you might want to be cautious with the dosage. A safe start could be around 300-500 mg per day, and it might even help to split it into two doses to see how your body handles it. You might take one dose in the morning and another midday, which can help support those energy levels. Some indivifuals do feel improved absorption when taking shilajit with meals. Take note of how you feel upon introducing these into your routine. If the nausea persists or worsens, it would be wise to stop and consult with a healthcare provider.

Combining these supplements at different times of the day (e.g., ashwagandha in the evening and shilajit in the morning) might help minimize potential side effects, giving your body time to adjust to each ingredient separately. Also, ensure you’re sourcing high-quality supplements from reputable brands, as purity can significantly impact effectiveness and safety. It’s good to be sure to monitor your body’s response over a few weeks, adjusting the timing or doses as needed, but without exceeding the recommended limits. Should any more severe symptoms develop, it’s best to have a detailed discussion with your healthcare provider to ensure these supplements align with your broader health picture and any other conditions or medications you may be managing.
