is it safe to take a potassium supplement daily - #26451
I am a bit confused and worried about my health lately. I was doing some reading and came across info about potassium. My doctor mentioned my levels were slightly low during my last blood test, and now I’m just wondering, is it safe to take a potassium supplement daily? After all, my friend takes them and swears by it, but I've also heard mixed things. Sometimes I feel fatigue, muscle cramps, and occasional heart palpitations, which I read could be tied to low potassium. But then again, I worry about taking too much potassium. Is it safe to take a potassium supplement daily or could it hurt more than help? Should I just eat more bananas or spinach instead? I mean, if it’s that easy, why not? But I really want to hear from a doc. Like, is it safe to take a potassium supplement daily if I’m already eating reasonably healthy? Or how do I even know if I should be taking one at all? Feeling kinda lost here, and it’s hard not to think about it constantly. What do you think?
