Hi Sameeksha,
Thank you for reaching out. I understand you are in a difficult situation being away from home, but please be very careful with self-medicating for bleeding.
Here is what you need to know right now:
· DO NOT take any random tablet to stop bleeding without a doctor’s prescription. Bleeding can be caused by many things (period, infection, pregnancy issue, etc.), and the wrong medicine can be dangerous. · Light spotting with cramps is often less urgent than heavy bleeding, but it still needs attention.
My Recommendations:
1. Rest Immediately: Lie down and avoid walking or standing for long periods. This helps reduce blood flow to the area. 2. Hydrate: Drink water or oral rehydration solution (ORS) if available. 3. Pain Relief: If the cramps are painful, you can consider Paracetamol (if you have taken it before and have no allergies). Do not take Aspirin or Ibuprofen as they can thin the blood and increase bleeding. 4. Seek Remote Help: Since you cannot visit a hospital physically, please try to do a teleconsultation (phone call or video call) with a local doctor or a nearby pharmacy. They can ask the right questions and guide you safely.
When to rush to the nearest clinic/hospital:
· If the bleeding becomes heavy (soaking a pad every hour). · If you feel dizzy, faint, or have severe pain.
Please prioritize finding a medical professional by phone. Self-treatment is risky here.

Hello Sameeksha, thank you for sharing your concern. Take Tab. Norethisterone 5mg twice daily until you want your periods to come. Do not take more than 21 days.
Feel free to reach out again.
Regards, Dr. Nirav Jain MBBS, D.Fam.Medicine
Yes, I understand and I have prescribed you a medicine for that only. As you start this medication, your periods will stop.
To keep them stopped, you need to keep taking this medicine twice daily. For example - after 5 days or 10 days, you feel that it’s okay if periods come now, stop this medication.
If you stop this medication after taking 1/2/3/4 doses, periods will come after the last dose.
But now just I need to stop the bleeding of my last period
You are having your periods since 10th February. That’s not normal. My advise would be to get an Ultrasound of your Pelvis + Abdomen done and share rhe report. Also do a Urine Pregnancy Test at home if you had any unprotected sexual intercourse in recent times.
I had already done the scanning how can send a report of that
And also I am just 23 yrs old
And also doctor prescribed be evercare after bleeding stop can I continue it
Yes, you can continue Evercare syrup after the bleeding has stopped if your doctor prescribed it. It is usually given as a supportive herbal tonic to help recovery. Take it for the duration advised by your doctor unless you develop any discomfort.
Bulky ovaries No classical features of pco at present Upper abdomen normal
And one more thing I have my brother wedding from April 4 th to 15 th of April till please give me the tablet according to that also when I can start taking the tablet and when I can end bcz I need to the april also
Last tuesday
For this month what I can do
For this month when I got my period next month also I will get on that day only
For this month, currently we need to stop your bleeding. You are going through Abnormal Uterine Bleeding. Start-
-Tab. Tranexamic Acid 500mg twice daily × 5 days. - Tab. Mefenamic Acid 500mg twice daily × 5 days. - Tab. Norethisterone 5mg twice daily × 21 days.
It’s never fixed that on which day you’ll get your periods for next month. Since you will be on Tab. Norethisterone for 21 days from now. Your periods will come once 21 days are completed.
Also get these tests done - CBC, TSH FT3 FT4.
And also start Tab. Iron + Folic Acid once daily × 1 month. This will support your body against blood loss.
Hello
Tab. Norethisterone 5mg 1-0-1 daily until you want your periods to come.
Don’t take more than 21 days.
While you take it, your period is held off. After you stop, bleeding usually starts within 2–4 days.
It’s not a contraceptive.
I trust this helps Thank you Take care
But I need my period to stop I am already bleeding first I need to stop that ,I am exhausted by it
Since your bleeding has been present for less than 1 hour and is only light spotting with some cramps, this may simply be the start of your period or mild hormonal spotting, which usually does not require any tablet to “stop” it. 1) Tab tranaxemic acid 500 1 tab three times daily for 3 days 2) Tab meftal spas 1 tab twice daily for 3 days 3) Tab pan 40 1 tab once daily before breakfast for 3 days. Please visit in person for better evaluation.
Stopping bleeding while out of station and unable to visit a hospital should be approached cautiously, and prioritizing safety is crucial. If you’re dealing with significant bleeding—such as from a wound, nose bleed, or a gynecological issue—it’s important to consider what can be safely managed without professional medical intervention. If bleeding is heavy or persistent, and especially if you feel dizzy, weak, or lightheaded, seeking emergency care is imperative, as uncontrolled bleeding can lead to serious complications. If the bleeding is external, applying direct pressure with a clean cloth or bandage to the area might help stop or slow it. Elevation of the affected area, if possible, can also assist in reducing blood flow to the site. Utilizing over-the-counter clotting powders or dressings designed for managing bleeding can be helpful in some situations, though they’re ideally used after consulting a healthcare provider. If you are considering medication specifically, it’s crucial to understand its appropriateness for your particular situation and any potential interactions with existing medications or conditions. Some people consider tranexamic acid (TXA), which is a prescription medication used in specific scenarios to promote clotting, but this should only be utilized under medical guidance because inappropriate use can pose risks. For menstrual bleeding, non-prescription options like NSAIDs (e.g., Ibuprofen) can reduce flow in some instances, but be aware of contraindications and don’t use them if they are not suitable due to other health issues. Without knowing the exact cause and location of the bleeding, providing more specific medication suggestions isn’t possible. Thus, using non-medication methods to control bleeding until you can receive professional medical evaluation would generally be safer.
Light spotting with cramps can sometimes occur due to hormonal changes, the start of a menstrual period, or minor irritation, and it may stop on its own without medication. It is not recommended to take tablets to stop bleeding without medical evaluation, as the cause must be known before treatment. Consult a Gynecologist or visit a nearby clinic if the bleeding increases, continues for several hours, or is associated with severe pain or dizziness.
