can i drink abc juice daily - #27102

Sia

I am really curious about if I can drink abc juice daily without any issues. Here's the thing— I've been trying to eat healthier lately and my friend suggested abc juice. Initially, I just thought it was like any other juice, but I was shocked when I looked into what it actually is. It's made from apples, beets, and carrots, and I heard it has a ton of health benefits. But then I started to wonder, can I drink abc juice daily? Not just for a week or two, but like, really make it a part of my everyday routine? I’ve been having this juice in the morning for about a week now and I feel kinda good, but sometimes I get worried. I read somewhere that too much beet can mess with your blood pressure and I hate coffee, which used to give me energy but now is replaced with this juice. Is that a problem? I mean, I also heard that juice can have lots of sugar even if it's natural, so should I be concerned about that too? What are your thoughts? Can I drink abc juice daily? Is there a limit? I don’t want to go overboard and end up doing more harm than good, you know? Any advice would really help!

Doctors' responses

You can certainly incorporate ABC juice into your daily routine, but there are a few things to keep in mind. ABC juice does provide a good mix of nutrients like vitamins A, C, and several B vitamins thanks to the apple, beet, and carrot combinatione They also bring in iron, potassium, and antioxidants, which can be beneficial for overall well-being. However, moderation is important, particularly for some of the components. Beets are high in oxalates which, in excessive amounts, can contribute to kidney stone formation, and could potentially lower blood pressure a bit, though this is more of a concern if you’re drinking large quantities or have existing conditions that affect kidney function or blood pressure. Carrots being high in natural sugars can affect blood sugar levels, especially if there are other sources of sugar in your diet.

Too much of any single food can potentially lead to nutritional imbalances, so it’s good to ensure you’re also consuming a variety of foods to get a broader range of nutrients and not rely solely on a single product. As for your concern about sugars, consuming the whole vegetable or fruit is generally a better option over juicing, keeping fiber intact which helps in moderating sugar absorption. You might want to balance your diet with some proteins and healthy fats to keep your energy levels stable and to complement the juice. If you are otherwise healthy and maintain a balanced diet, a glass of ABC juice is unlikely to pose any significant risk, but it might be prudent to limit to no more than one serving a day. If you find any noticeable changes in how you’re feeling—such as fatigue, dizziness, or issues with digestion—it’s wise to consult a healthcare professional who can take a closer look at your dietary habits and provide specific advice. Always listen to your body, and if you have any specific health conditions or take medication, consider discussing with a healthcare provider to make sure it aligns well with your overall health strategy.
