I am totally confused about chana and its calorie content! I love to snack on chana because I thought it was a healthy option, especially while trying to lose some weight. A few weeks ago my friend mentioned that chana can have more calories than I think, which got me worried. I mean, how many calories in chana am I actually eating when I munch on it? I’ve been mixing chana with other ingredients for salads and stuff, but then I found out I could be piling on calories without realizing it. Like, who knew that a cup of boiled chana has quite a bit more than just 100 calories?? I saw some info online saying it can have over 200 calories in a cup! I mean, that doesn’t seem to fit with how I thought it was all healthy! How many calories in chana are there really? Is there a difference between raw and boiled? How do the calories in chana change when I fry it or eat it in curry? I am kinda freaking out here trying to keep my diet in check, anybody have solid details on what I should be looking at? Thanks!
