what to do for long time sex - #24982

Anvi

I am really struggling with this issue and I don't know what to do for long time sex. Lately, my partner has been hinting that we just haven't been intimate as long as we used to, and honestly, I agree! It’s like, one minute we’re getting into it, and the next minute, boom—it's over. I feel so bad cause I wanna please them and make sure we both enjoy it. I've tried to read up on what to do for long time sex but most of the advice just seems unrealistic or too complicated. Like, I heard about kegels and breathing techniques, but I'm unsure if they actually work? Last weekend we tried to focus on just being intimate without the pressure, but it ended the same way. My buddy told me about stamina exercises, and yeah, I'd be up for that, but is that really connected to what to do for long time sex? Sometimes I feel embarrassed talking about this, but it’s just so frustrating! I wanna know if there are specific things—like maybe diet changes or even crew tricks—that can help and if any of you have tried something that actually worked for you. Any thoughts would really help—just feeling a bit lost!

If you’re looking to prolong sexual intimacy, you’re definitely not alone in this. The key factors to consider are both physical and psychological, and there’s often a combination of things that can help. First, let’s talk about pelvic floor exercises, like Kegels. They can definitely be beneficial in building strength and endurance, which may contribute to longer sessions. Try doing these consistently for several weeks to start noticing improvements. Another component is understanding the role of stress and anxiety; performance anxiety can significantly impact the duration of sexual activities. Practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques may help in reducing pressure and increasing enjoyment for both you and your partner.

When it comes to diet, staying hydrated, maintaining a balanced diet rich in antioxidants, and including foods that improve circulation such as garlic, nuts, and berries could have a positive effect on sexual stamina. Regular cardiovascular exercise can also enhance physical endurance, which might translate into longer sessions. Methods like the ‘stop-start’ technique or the ‘squeeze’ technique, which involves slowing down or briefly pausing when you feel close to climax, can be helpful too. They may require practice but aim to prolong your experience over time.

It’s good to approach this topic with open communication with your partner. Finding alternative ways of intimate connection and pleasure can reduce the pressure of performing a specific way every time. Discuss openly what feels pleasurable for both of you and explore what works best without rushing things. Finally, if the issue continues or causes significant distress, consulting with a healthcare provider can shed light on any underlying concerns. They might provide further individualized strategies or, if needed, consider therapies or medications to assist. Making these adjustments and being patient with yourself can gradually lead towards an improved intimate life.
