If you do not want pregnancy, then yes, you should take i-Pill / emergency contraceptive.
Because: You had unprotected sex You are close to ovulation Better to prevent than regret later
Hello Dersh, I understand your concern. It would be better to take the ipill as your might not be far away from the day of your ovulation.
So, take it to make sure you don’t get pregnant.

You had unprotected sex around day 9 of your cycle, which is near the fertile window, so pregnancy is possible. If it has been less than 72 hours, you should take an emergency pill (i-pill) to reduce the chance of pregnancy. If you’re unsure or it’s already been more than 72 hours, please consult a Gynecologist for further guidance and consider a pregnancy test after 14 days.
Hello Darsh,
Yes, Since you had unprotected sex on Day 10 of your cycle, there is a chance of pregnancy, so taking the i-pill is recommended. I pill 1.5mg single dose
After taking i pill, You may get some spotting or early/late period next cycle, that’s normal
I trust this helps Thank you
Hello dear See chances are there for pregnancy to come since the time you mentioned is better for ovulation. So there will definitely be required for ocd medication I suggest you to please take it in accordance with consulting gynaecologist in person only Regards
Hello Darsh By going through your history and evaluation of your health status I must say that Since you had unprotected sex on November 6th, which is just a few days after your period ended, there is a possibility of pregnancy but Taking an emergency contraceptive pill (like the i-pill) can help reduce the risk of pregnancy if taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex. If you’re within that time frame and are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, it might be a good idea to take it. However, if you’re not feeling anxious about it and are okay with the risk, you can choose not to take it. Just keep in mind that if your next period is late or if you experience any unusual symptoms, it would be wise to take a pregnancy test.
Thank you
Considering the typical menstrual cycle, ovulation usually occurs around the middle part of the cycle. If you have a regular 28-day cycle, ovulation happens about 14 days after the first day of your period. This means that having unprotected sex 5 days after your period started is not in the high-fertility window, but sperm can survive in your body for up to 5 days. So there is a still a potential risk of pregnancy if ovulation happens earlier than expected. Emergency contraception, like the ipill, is most effective when taken as soon you can after unprotected sex, ideally within 72 hours. Given the circumstances, taking an emergency contraceptive could help in reducing the risk of an unintended pregnancy. It’s safe for occasional use but should not be used as a regular birth control method. Keep in mind that emergency contraception can sometimes cause side effects, such as changes in your next period, mild nausea or headaches. If your cycles are irregular, the calculation might change, slightly altering the risk assessment and use of emergency contraception becomes even more prudent. Also, remember that the ipill doesn’t protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs), so if there’s a risk, screening for STIs should also be considered. If you’re unsure about regular birth control options, consulting with a healthcare provider can provide guidance tailored to your lifestyle and health circumstances.
