what to drink before sex - #24957

Kian

I am seriously confused about what to drink before sex. I thought hydration was super important, right? But then my friend said something about certain drinks being better. The other night, I had a bit too much red wine and let’s just say it didn’t go as planned. Then she mentioned that drinking something like coconut water could help boost energy levels? I don’t even really know, I just wanna make sure I’m not ruining the moment. I usually do water, but I’ve heard that drinks with electrolytes can make a difference too. Like, what to drink before sex to keep the energy up? What if I also have to consider the taste? Nothing worse than bad breath during, you know? I’ve seen people talk about smoothies and I’m like, can that even work? Sounds messy, but what is the best option? And what about caffeine, like am I supposed to be drinking coffee before? It all feels a bit overwhelming. Can someone help a little do you think there are things I should totally avoid? I mean I really just want to get it right this time!

Hydration does play a significant role in overall energy levels and physical performance, including during sex. Drinking water is usually the best option to stay hydrated, but if you’re looking to mix things up or add a subtle boost, coconut water can be a good choice. It naturally contains electrolytes like potassium that help maintain fluid balance. However, don’t rely on it exclusively if water is readily available, since coconut water can also add unnecessary calories if consumed in excess. Electrolyte drinks can be beneficial as they replenish essential minerals lost in sweat, but they are not absolutely necessary unless you’ve been physically active or are in a very hot environment. Smoothies can offer energy if they are not too heavy or sugar-laden, so stick to simple blends with fruits and a handful of greens. Pay attention to portion sizes to avoid feeling too full or bloated. As for caffeine, moderate coffee consumption can help increase alertness and sometimes boost your mood, though high amounts could lead to jitters or even short-lived energy spikes followed by crashes. Make sure you’re not drinking anything too acidic or pungent just before, as it could affect breath quality. Avoid overindulging in alcohol since it can reduce performance and sensation. It’s also advisable to steer clear of heavily carbonated beverages since they can cause bloating and discomfort. Finally, remembering that everyone’s body reacts differently, so it’s about finding what works personally for you here while keeping these factors balanced in mind.
